Millicent Lee Kaufman, the president and owner of K L Travel, Inc. in Scarsdale, New York, gives the travel agency the owner’s touch.
Ms. Kaufman is strongly committed to providing professional services that are client-focused, individually designed and interesting one-of-a-kind travel experiences. An active volunteer in her community, Ms. Kaufman has sharpened her management skills as past president of the Scarsdale Summer Music Theatre, an educational, non-profit performing arts program for young adults, and served as director of the Westchester County American Field Service (AFS) International student exchange program. She also served as president of the Scarsdale AFS Chapter for many years. A Certified Travel Counselor (CTC), Ms. Kaufman has authored a column for Travel Weekly, a leading industry periodical. Ms. Kaufman is also a strong supporter of the cultural arts and currently acts as Board Chairman on the Board of Directors of the Westchester Philharmonic and formerly served as President of the organization.
Ms. Kaufman is a graduate of Hunter College High School in New York City, received her BA from the University of California at Berkeley and holds a Masters Degree from Columbia University in New York City. A Scarsdale resident since 1972, Ms. Kaufman raised her three now grown children in the house where she continues to reside with her husband Martin, an attorney.
